Harvest Without The Hustle™| Make Money in Network Marketing Without Sacrificing Your Life

Are You Building Your Business in Faith or Fighting Burnout Alone? Episode #16

Ginny Hatfield, Keynote Speaker, Network Marketer, Farmer's Wife, Mom, Business Resource Connector

Ever feel like you're doing all the things in your business but still not seeing the results you hoped for—like you're stuck in a cycle of hustle instead of walking in God's provision?

Let me ask you three questions—ones that might hit close to home: (like they did for me)

1️⃣ Why do you always feel burned out?
2️⃣ Why does it feel like your business is running your life instead of giving you the freedom you dreamed of?
3️⃣ Are you trusting God to help you build your business, or are you carrying the weight all on your own?

If any of these questions stir something in you, you’re not alone.

You started your business with a vision—to create freedom, to serve, to provide, to honor God.

But somewhere along the way, you got caught up in the hustle. The constant striving, the late nights, the never-ending to-do list. You tell yourself, “Just one more thing,” but that one thing turns into another hour, another day, another season of exhaustion.

But friend, God never intended for you to build your business through burnout. He has a better way.

In this Episode #16, I’m sharing my own burnout story—the moment I realized I was doing it all alone instead of surrendering my business to God. And more importantly, I’ll show you how I broke free and learned to build my business with God, not just for Him.

You’ll walk away with faith-filled strategies to:
✨ Shift from striving to surrender
✨ Create routines that protect your faith, family, and business in the right order
✨ Trust God’s provision instead of carrying the weight alone

If you’re feeling exhausted, stretched too thin, and wondering if there’s a better way—this Episode #16 is for you.

Let’s jump into Episode 16 and quit striving so you can start thriving God’s way!

Friend, Burnout happens when you try to carry what only God can hold.

Here's a bit about my burnout story when striving led me to a breaking point.

I remember a season in my business not too long ago, when burnout wasn’t just creeping in-it had taken over.

I was saying yes to every opportunity, every coaching call, every launch strategy.  I told myself, “Just a little more effort, and I’ll finally feel caught up”.  But instead of feeling accomplished, I felt exhausted, drained, and distant from my family.

One night, I sat in my office way past my 9 pm bedtime, staring at my laptop, too tired to think straight. My hubby had already gone to bed.  I had missed an opportunity that day to spend a fun day with my three daughter in laws because I had too many appointments for my business.  And my heart ached because I realized… I had let my business take over my life and I had lost those precious memories I could have made with my daughter in laws that day.

I was building alone.  I wasn’t seeking God’s wisdom, I had no good routines to set up my day, let alone my week, month, or year.  And I realized I was just trying to figure it all out by myself.  And guess what? I was failing.

I had everything the world said I needed to be successful-a growing business, a solid team, an income stream.  But I had no peace.

Friend, I started breaking free..  God shifted my Heart when i came across 2 Corinthians 9:8

And God will generously provide all you need.  Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

And I felt the Holy Spirit  whisper to me

You are not called to strive, you are called to abide.

Friend, I had spent so much time hustling that I forgot to trust.  I was acting like success depended only on me, when in reality, God was waiting for me to surrender my business to Him.

I think what was keeping me stuck from not trusting God with my business was one of the hardest lessons I had to learn in my journey as a christian mompreneur was how to fully trust God-not just my faith, or my family, but with my business.  And Maybe friends, you can relate.

You see, Friend, I grew up believing that provision only came from hard work-my own work.  My family was so poor in the fall we had to follow the combines after harvest, gathering leftover corn by hand to grind into cornmeal just to have enough food to eat through the winter.  From an early age, I was taught that if you wanted to survive, you had to rely on yourself-because no one else, not even God, would take care of you.

Maybe you’ve felt the same way-like you had to do it all, carry it all and hustle harder just to get ahead.  Maybe you’ve been pushing and striving, believing the lie that success is reserved for other people, that God only blesses the rich, and if you’re struggling, then you must not be working hard enough.

But that's simply not true.  That's a lie from the enemy designed to keep you stuck in striving instead of walking in the abundance and purpose God has for you.

What I wasn't taught growing up-and what I had to learn the hard way-was that God cares about every part of my life, including my business  He has a plan specifically for me, and just like He provides for my family, He will provide for my business-but only if I surrender it to Him.

The same is true for you my friend, when you totally surrender your business to God and start asking for his direction in your business.  That's when you will find peace instead of striving for your harvest.

This was one of the biggest breakthroughs I had during the Radiant Leadership Academy-the 16 week biblical leadership course inside the Kingdom Alliance membership.  Through this training, I realized that the way we’re raised, the beliefs that are passed down to us, and even the struggles we’ve faced can deeply shape how we see God’s role in our business.

But God is not limited by our past.  He’s not bound by what we’ve been taught about money, success or provision.  He is a good Father who wants to lead us, bless us, and multiply the work of our hands-not through hustle, but through faith.

So friend, let me ask you:  Are you carrying the weight of your business alone? Have you surrendered it fully to God, or are you still trying to make it all happen in your own strength?

If you’re feeling drained, it's not because you're not capable-its because you were never meant to carry this business alone.

THats why in Matthew 11:28-30,  Jesus tells us to come to him, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest .  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

The yoke is still an oxens tool for working hard.  But it's a shared yoke with weight falling on bigger shoulders than yours.  Someone with more pulling power is up front helping.  Suddenly you are participating in your business responsibilities, with a great partner and now you can turn that frown into a smile and that gripe (complaining, frustration, overwhelmness) into a praise, a song of gratitude.  Knowing you are not in this by yourself.

In going through the Wealth Academy, one of the other academies,  in Kingdom Alliance the online mentorship community I am part of this past summer in July.  I asked the coach of the academy, well how do I surrender my business to God and start building that trust that God will actually help me with my business.

She told me, you just start praising him and telling him out loud.  I trust you Lord with my business and my finances.  You show me the path and I will walk it and do the work. You take over the rest.  That's what it means to lighten your work, your stress and let Jesus take over doing the hard part of your teamwork.  Trust him to find the right person that needs what you are serving with your business.  That's when you will find rest to go have the time to spend with your friends and family members.

And now friend lets talk about routines, which we can all learn valuable lessons about creating good routines that align with our core values-values that are essential for building a business God’s way, with peace and growth instead of striving.

The Proverbs 31 woman was not only a businesswoman but also a leader, homemaker, wife, and mother.  She wore many hats-just like you.  But she didn’t run on stress and caffeine; she managed her time with wisdom and faith. She built wisely.  She made decisions, prayerfully.  She didn’t carry everything alone-she relied on God’s strength.

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. (Proverbs 31:16)- She was a smart businesswoman, but she didn’t act impulsively-she considered, planned, and sought wisdom.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.  (Proverbs 31:27)- She was productive, but she wasn’t constantly rushing and striving. She worked with purpose, not pressure.

If you are always running on empty, it’ time to ask:

Am I trying to do this in my own strength or am I letting God lead?

So here's an action step you can jot down:  Pause today and pray over your business.  Release the pressure and ask God to guide your next step.

Remember this, if you don’t schedule your priorities, business will steal them.

How often do you say…

I will spend more time with my hubby when things slow down.

I will have more time for my kids and grandkids after I finish this one last task.

I will make space for friendships once my business is stable.

But here’s the hard truth… things don’t slow down unless you make them.

Ask yourself this question? If your calendar could grade you on how well you’re living out your core values, what would it say?

Would it show that you put God first, your husband second, your family third, your health and wellness fourth, and your business and finances  fifth and fun and friends last.

Or would it reveal that your business has slowly climbed to the top?

The proverb 31 woman thrived because she had priorities in order.  She didn’t run her home or business reactively-she was intentional with her time.

Instead of letting your business take over, what if you:

Started your day with God instead of emails?

Started your day off with God instead of social media, facebook or instagram?
Blocked off time for your hubby before business calls?

Protected family time just as fiercely as client meetings?

So let's talk about Morning Routines -which help us friends, prepare our heart and business for the day.

Proverbs 31:15

She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.

What this teaches us about a Thriving Morning Routine:

  1.  She rises early with purpose:

This doesn't mean you have to wake up at 4 am but it doesnt mean starting the day with intention rather than reacting to the demands of business, social media or emails.

How? Spend your first moments with the Lord, not your phone.  Pray over your business and your family before anything else.

  1. She provides for her household first.

Before jumping into work, your family needs to be fed spiritually and emotionally.

How?  Whether it's making breakfast, having a quick devotion with your kids or speaking words of affirmation over your spouse, begin the day with love and connection.

  1.  She prepares her resources wisely

THe Proverbs 31 woman is strategic-she doesn’t waste time scrambling.

How?  Set clear business priorities for the day instead of operating in chaos.
Ask yourself instead what 3 things will move my business forward today without taking away from my family.  (or what my friend, Lemon likes to call them your 3 non negotiables for the day)

So here is a guide you can use as a practical morning routine for a thriving christian mompreneur

  1.  Wake up with purpose-pray before you check your phone.
  2. Get in the Word-Read scripture, even if just one verse to meditate on throughout the day.
  3. Speak life over your business-declare God’s promises over your work (example:  Lord, establish the work of my hands today!)
  4. Serve your household first-whether it's preparing meals, speaking encouragement, or setting a peaceful tone, start at home before business.
  5. Set business priorities based on your core values-focus on income producing, impact-driven activities rather than busywork.

Evening Routines: Help us close the Day in Peace and Preparation

Proverbs 31:18-She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.

Proverbs 31:27-She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

What this teaches us about a thriving evening routine.

  1.  She assesses her business progress.

The Proverbs 31 woman reflects on her work-she knows her business is profitable because she is intentional.

How?  Instead of worrying about what you did not finish, celebrate what was accomplished and surrender the rest to God.

  1. She keeps her lamp burning with wisdom, not worry.

Some translations say “her lamp does not go out at night,” meaning she is prepared-not working late into exhaustion, but managing her resources wisely.

How? Shutdown work at a set time.  Do a brain dump of thoughts, then leave them for tomorrow.

  1.  She protects her home and priorities.

She watches over the affairs of her household, meaning she guards her time and energy wisely.

How? Set boundaries with business-avoid answering emails, engaging in unnecessary social media, or working on tasks that could be done the next day.

Practical Evening Routine for a Thriving Christian Mompreneur

Reflect on Wins and Lessons-Thank God for what He did today in your life and business

Brain dump and plan -write down any lingering thoughts or tasks for tomorrow so you can mentally release them.

Shutdown work by a set time-no answering messages or checking sales late at night

Pray over your business and family-ask God for wisdom, peace and protection.

Rest in Peace, Not Pressure-Trust that God will take care of tomorrow.

How these routines help you build a thriving online business without striving.

You operate from Rest, not Rush

Instead of waking up in panic mode trying to catch up, you start your day fueled by peace and purpose.

You focus on the right tasks, not just more tasks.

The proverbs 31 woman wasn’t busy just for the sake of being busy-she focused on profitable, meaningful work.

You honor God, your family, and yourself first-then business follows

The world teaches us to chase success first, then make time for our faith and family.

God's way is different:  Seek, Him first, and He will establish your business.  (Matthew 6:33)

You build sustainability, not stressfully.

Many entrepreneurs burn out because they never pause.

The Proverbs 31 woman thrived because she managed their time, energy, and priorities with wisdom.

So here's an action step you can jot down: Take 5 minutes to look at your calendar today.  Does it reflect your core values? If not, make one simple change this week.

Trusting God vs Building Alone

Be honest:

Do you truly trust that God will provide for your business, or do you feel like everything depends on you?

When you say, “ I don’t have time to rest,” you’re really saying “I don’t trust God to bless my efforts unless I keep grinding.”

When you say, “I have to handle everything myself,” you’re really saying “I don’t believe God will send the right help and resources.

Proverbs 16:3 says:

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.

God isn’t calling you to figure it out all alone-He’s calling you to Trust Him with the process.

So here's an action step you can jot down: Before you start work tomorrow, pray over your business and commit your plans to God. Watch how he shifts your heart.

Friend, it's time to go from striving to thriving.
