Harvest Without The Hustle™| Make Money in Network Marketing Without Sacrificing Your Life

Can God Really Bring You From Hopeless to Hopeful in Business? Episode #22

Ginny Hatfield, Keynote Speaker, Network Marketer, Farmer's Wife, Mom, Business Resource Connector Episode 22

Friend. If you’re a faith-filled, Christian woman in network marketing, feeling burned out, broken, or wondering if your God-given business dreams are ever going to bear fruit — this episode is for you.

Today, I’m sharing one of the most personal episodes I’ve ever recorded — the story of how a devastating back injury in 2020 left me physically, emotionally, and spiritually shattered… and how God gently led me out of that dark valley and into His light.

Through His grace, He didn’t just heal my body — He renewed my mind. And that mindset renewal became the foundation for rebuilding my Kingdom-aligned business with joy, clarity, and purpose.

As I cleared out my flower beds this week, I was reminded: sometimes God has to prune back what’s dead in our lives and in our businesses to make space for fresh Kingdom growth. 🌱

If you’ve been asking…

  • “Is what I’m doing in my business even working?”

  • “Am I really called to this?”

  • “Is there a way to build this without burning out?”

Then, friend, this episode was made for you. Here’s exactly how you can take action and start moving forward:

Welcome Back Friend to Harvest Without the Hustle.

Friend, Let me ask you a question.  How do you go from hopelessness to hope in your business when nothing seems to be working?

Hey friend, today’s episode is one of the most personal and powerful ones I’ve ever recorded.

Let me ask you something, friend,

Have you ever felt completely hopeless?

Have you ever wondered if all the work you’re doing in your business is really going to pay off?
Have you ever been so broken that you didnt see a way forward?

If so, today’s episode is for you.

In this episode #22, I share my personal journey from pain to purpose-starting with a traumatic back injury in 2020 that left me physically, emotionally and spiritually shattered.  I nearly lost my life in January 2021.. But God met me in that darkest and gently led me out.

Through his grace, He not only healed my body but renewed my mindset-and friend, thats where the real transformation happened.  And that same mindshift?  ITs the exact foundation I used to rebuild my network marketing business into something fruitful, faith filled and joyful again.

But before we dive into the deep stuff.. Let me take you on a little journey to the farm.

This week I have been clearing out my flower beds, making way for the fresh new growth peeking through.   There’s something so symbolic about springtime…. We pull out the weed and dead growth so that new life can flourish.  Its just like our walk with the Lord and our businesses.  Sometimes we have to let go of old thoughts-those pesky skunk thoughts! To allow space for Kingdom growth.

But Friend, before we jump into today's episode, let me quickly introduce myself.  I'm your host, Ginny Hatfield — a once overwhelmed, empty-nester Christian mompreneur who hit burnout trying to grow my network marketing business in my own strength. I was striving, stressing, and spinning my wheels... until God lovingly showed me a better way — His way.

Today, I help women just like you — faith-filled, purpose-driven mompreneurs — ditch the hustle, align your business with Biblical truth, and finally start harvesting the blessings God’s already prepared for you.

As a farm wife, mama of four grown sons, grandma, and Kingdom entrepreneur, I know firsthand what it means to juggle all the things. But I also know what it means to surrender, simplify, and walk in God's peace while still growing a thriving business.

Inside this podcast, you’ll find real talk, practical steps, and spirit-led strategies to help you steward your time, grow income streams that align with your calling, and build a business that honors your faith without sacrificing what matters most.

So grab your favorite beverage, your journal, or your phone note app to take notes since your hands are probably busy like mine are when I am listening to podcasts  while folding laundry or milking cows.— because we’re about to trade striving for surrender and pressure for peace. Let’s build your business the Kingdom way, together.

So friend, lets jump into Episode 22 and start sharing how you can go from hopelessness to hope in your business.

You see friend, back in September of 2020, my life took a sudden and painful turn. It was just another day on the farm — I was out in the parlor spraying down the walls and floors after milking the cows, getting rid of all the manure. That’s just life on a dairy farm.

While I was working, I struck up a conversation with our new milkman — the guy who picks up our milk each day and hauls it off to be made into cheese and butter. I didn’t want to be rude by turning my back on him while I was dragging my hose through the parlor gates, so instead of walking in forward like I normally would, I went in backwards. Big mistake. As I stood up, I felt a sharp pop in my lower back — and the milkman heard it. The pain was instant and severe.

But like any farm wife knows, the work has to be done. So I finished washing the parlor, even though I could barely move. That’s just what farm gals do — we push through the pain and finish the job.

I couldn’t get into the chiropractor that day because I was waiting on my brother-in-law to come measure my house for new windows — yes, the ones I had been waiting on for over 20 years. I finally got into the chiropractor the following Monday. By then, the pain had gotten even worse. But I was still milking cows. Every. Single. Day.

Then Wednesday came — and so did COVID. That was back when you had to quarantine for two weeks, so I couldn’t get back to the chiropractor until nearly three weeks later. In that time, things went from bad to worse.

I couldn’t sit, stand, or lie down for more than 15 minutes without excruciating pain. I couldn’t drive for five months. I was so desperate, I ended up seeing three different doctors and was prescribed four of the strongest pain medications available — yet they didn’t even touch the pain.

All I could do was milk my cows in the morning, which now took over four and a half hours. My husband had to dump the heavy milker buckets for the calves because I just couldn’t lift them. We even had to hire someone else to take care of the calves because I physically couldn’t do it. I was exhausted, barely functioning in the house, and spiraling deeper into depression.

I wasn’t sleeping. I was mentally drained. I sought out two different back surgeons and got three nerve shots. Nothing helped. They told me surgery could fix me, but one wrong move — a jolt from a cow or overexertion — and I could end up right back where I started. Not to mention, I wouldn’t be allowed to bend or lift anything for six weeks. With a husband who couldn’t run a washer or cook himself a meal, that just wasn’t an option.

By January 21st, after months of non-stop pain and emotional exhaustion, I hit rock bottom. Just after midnight, I decided I was done. I thought about ending my life with a shotgun. I couldn’t take the pain anymore.

Just days before, at the end of December, my medical charts had finally synced up across the doctors. That’s when one nurse called to tell me they were cutting me off all pain prescriptions — they had labeled me a prescription addict. My mind was not in a good place.

But God. That night, I messaged a few close mom friends in our local school mom group on Facebook and told them I couldn’t take it anymore. I said I was done. Miraculously, three of them happened to be online — even though it was the middle of the night. They stayed up with me, praying over me, messaging me, holding space for me. Then, around 2 AM, another mom friend popped into the chat. She told me she had also suffered extreme back pain and found healing through OMT therapy — that’s Oscular Muscular Therapy. It’s a gentle, hands-on method where a doctor taps nerves in a pattern that helps reset the nervous system.

Appointments with this doctor usually took six months to book. But wouldn’t you know it — that same day, someone canceled, and I got in that afternoon.

At my first appointment, the OMT therapist told me my nervous system was stuck in fight-or-flight mode. It would take time to see full results, but even after that first session, I was able to ride in the car for 30 minutes without screaming in pain. That alone was a miracle.

She told me healing would start by renewing my mind — I needed to get my mindset aligned with God’s peace, not fear. She had me listen to instrumental Christian music with Scripture, close my eyes, and breathe deeply until my body started to rest.

She encouraged me to move my body again. I started walking daily — at first, just 10 minutes through the free-stall barn where it was safe and not icy. I used a fence post for support. Slowly but surely, I worked up to 30 minutes… then by April, I was walking an hour a day. Now, I walk 2 to 4 miles daily with my God and my dogs.

I also started regular massages to help keep my body in a state of peace and rest. With the help of friends and family, I planted a garden that summer — and I was able to care for it, harvest it, and even can the produce. I found joy again in working in my flower gardens. And by late summer, I was even able to carry those heavy calf buckets once more.

Friend, God rescued me — not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. He showed me the power of community, the importance of renewing my mind, and the truth that He’s not done with me yet.

So if you're walking through pain — whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual — please know this: you’re not alone. God sees you. He hears your cries. And He is still in the business of healing.

Your harvest is still coming. Keep trusting, keep walking, and don’t give up.

And friend, here's where this story meets your purpose: God didn’t just heal me for me. He healed me so I could help you. That season of pain became the very soil God used to plant a new mission in me — to help empty nester Christian mompreneurs like you build your business from a place of peace, not pressure.

What I discovered during my healing journey was this: the way I was working before the injury wasn’t sustainable — not for my body, not for my mind, and definitely not for my spirit. But when I started leaning into Kingdom rhythms — rest, clarity, alignment, identity — everything changed.
